The
Fine Arts Association-
Your
Center for Arts Education AND Performance

Welcome to The Fine Arts Association.
Since 1957, we have proudly housed all of the arts under one roof.
Offering classes, private music lessons, theatre performances, concerts
and cultural activities, The Fine Arts Association is dedicated to keeping
the flow of imagination, creativity and expression flourishing.

Commitment to Excellence in the
Arts
Our mission is to enhance lives through arts education, performance and
advocacy. We reach out to the community, soliciting their needs
and incorporating them into our curriculum and our performance season.
Educational Programs:
Study in the arts remains an important ingredient in any chosen field,
and The Fine Arts Association is committed to offering exemplary instruction
in all the arts. Our professional faculty of teaching artists provide
instruction in visual art, dance,
theatre, music
and music therapy.
Such talent and commitment have enabled us to grow into the nationally
recognized cultural center that we are today.
The Education Department creates
customized off-site educational arts experiences in music,
dance, theatre, the visual arts and music therapy. Current partner organizations
include the Willoughby-Eastlake Schools, Painesville City Schools, Lake
MetroParks, City of Wickliffe/Wickliffe Middle School, Hawken School,
Our Lady of Mt. Carmel and Peaceful Children Montessori. For information
on Off-site Education Programs, contact Jeannie Fleming-Gifford, Director
of Education at jfleming-gifford@fineartsassociation.org

How We Keep the Doors Open and the Lights On...
The Fine Arts Association is a private, non-profit organization that relies
on the support of our friends, alumni, students and parents - people like
you. Your contributions to the annual fund, scholarship programs, endowments
and special projects make it possible for us to continue to bring you
the highest quality arts experience. It is your support that provides
much needed funding not covered by tuition and ticket sales. To
learn more about ways in which you can help support the mission of The
Fine Arts Association or to make an on-line donation, please go to our
Advancing Artistic Expression page.

An Investment in the Community
In 1957, founders James and Louise Savage saw a need in ourcommunity -
a yearning for a richer cultural and artistic education. They and a growing
staff of instructors and volunteers nourished what is now a learning institution
with more than sixty faculty members representing all of the arts. Disabled
and economically disadvantaged students attend many of the programs at
no cost. In addition, we support gifted and lower-income students through
annually awarded scholarships made possible by the United Way or Lake
County, the Women's Committee of The Fine Arts Association, and and other
special funders. The Fine Arts Association continues to invest time, money,
education and hope in the growth of our community. |
