Art... The Creative Experience

Art classes at The Fine Arts Association remain some of the most popular in the area. There is a full palette: clay, watercolor, drawing, oil and acrylic painting, ceramics and computer graphic arts. Other innovative offerings include classes in cartooning, calligraphy, new crafting techniques and screen printing. A highly talented staff of instructors is continually augmenting their curriculum to include new classes.

VISUAL ART

Please note that all visual art courses have new projects each session, therefore students who repeat a course are not repeating the same content. Each class is also designed to welcome new students to The Fine Arts Association experience! Material fees are included unless indicated otherwise. Computer Graphic Arts Class

All graphic arts classes are taught in our new Arts Technology Lab that is outfitted with state-of-the-art iMac™ computers, software and equipment. Class sizes are limited to ensure individualized instruction for each student. Taught by professionals in the graphic arts field, these classes combine art and technology skills for both creative and functional use. The knowledge gained from these classes can be adapted to PC's as well as Macs.

Desktop Publishing & Graphic Design (ages 13 to adult) Basic knowledge of computers and desktop publishing software is a benefit in this class, but not necessarily critical to the student's success and enjoyment.
So you want to learn more about graphic design? Come see what it's really all about! Students in this class are presented with a range of relevant design topics, and use software titles such as Adobe Photoshop¨ and InDesign¨! Whether you have experience in digital art or are simply interested in building on your skills, this class is for you. Come just to learn the basics or come to experiment with cutting edge techniques. Learn how to design documents, integrate photography and create your own personal project or one for your professional portfolio. Feel free to bring your digital photos, CDs, camera, and ideas! You may also want to bring a notebook and writing utensil to take notes. Plenty of individualized instruction will take your idea from concept to completion while you learn something new.
