Our theatre classes provide opportunities for growth and expansion throughout every age group (beginning at age 4) and talent level. Whether you want to be on Broadway or just be more comfortable in front of other people - our theatre classes are for you, providing skills that can be applied to every facet of your life.

Theater Arts for Preschool & Elementary Classes

Princess Play! Spring Session (ages 4-6)
Does your little one dream of being a princess? This class lets her act out her dream! While working on basic theatre techniques, your young actress will perform a role in a play that shows princesses the importance of friendship and that they can do anything they set their hearts to. Strong parental involvement for the help of memorizing lines is required.

Princess Play (ages 4-6)
Does your little one dream of being a princess? This class lets her act out her dream! During this beginning theatre class, each student plays one fairy tale princess. Class culminates with a Sharing Day performance for family and friends.

Superheroes on Stage (ages 4-6)
Do you have a young man who loves Spiderman, Batman or Superman? Here is a class to harness all his energy and enthusiasm while learning basic theatre techniques. Each young actor portrays a superhero in a play showing that “super powers” are not necessary to allow us to be whatever we want. Strong parental involvement for help of memorizing lines is required. Class culminates with a Sharing Day performance during the last class for family and friends.

Page to Stage (ages 5*-8)
Each week this class immerses children in the art of theatre to bring a favorite storybook to life. The basics of theatre are taught as students act out a new book each week. Class culminates with a Sharing Day and "cast" party on the last day of class! *will be entering kindergarten in Fall 2012.

Fresh Fun with Phineas & Ferb (ages 7-10)
Come on an adventure with our friends Phineas, Ferb, Candace, Isabella, Stacy and the rest of the gang! Would you like to be an employee of Doofenschmirtz Evil, Inc.? This class will nearly zap you with a great acting-a-nator. We’ll also work on basic acting skills like vocal projection, movement, diction and pronunciation. Class culminates with a Sharing Day performance for family and friends.

Silly Shenanigans (ages 8-12)
If you love Shel Silverstein or just love acting wickedly silly, this class is for you. In this class you BECOME the caricatures that Shel creates in his off-the-wall, slyly giddy mind. Character development, monologue preparation and auditioning skills are emphasized. Class culminates with a Sharing Day performance during the last class for family and friends.

Best Foot Forward for Kids (ages 8-12)
If you want to take the stage and don’t know where to start, this class is for YOU! Come learn the basics of acting, auditioning and how to win a role through the audition process. During this interactive class, you will learn techniques (and a monologue or two) that prepare you to take the stage for that next audition. Class culminates with a Sharing Day performance on the last day of class for family and friends.

Princess Bride Play (ages 11-14)
Have you always dreamed of being the beautiful Princess Buttercup? Or imagined going on adventures on the high seas with the dread Pirate Robert? Do you greet people by answering your phone with "Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya." Or ever wanted to scale the Cliffs of Insanity on the back of Fezzik the Giant? In this adventurous and thrilling class you become your favorite characters from The Princess Bride. We'll learn basic acting skills, such as building character development, discovering objectives and strengthening vocal projection, all while reenacting our favorite scenes. Your friends and family will be amazed to see you on Sharing Day!

Musical Theatre Showcase (ages 11-15)
If you like to perform, this class is for you! Musical Theatre Showcase combines singing, acting, script writing, improv and stage movement to create a unique show that allows everyone the chance to shine. Each student focuses on their own song and character while working with classmates to create ensemble scenes that will be featured in a showcase-style performance for family and friends on the last night of class.
