Enjoy the sweetness of beautiful music and delectable desserts brought to you by The Fine Arts Association Woodwind Quintet. Concert performers include (pictured l. to r.) Marjorie Rutherford, bassoon; Charles S. Baker, clarinet; Nicholas Fife, horn; Judith Elias, flute; mezzo soprano Phyllis Speirs; Lisa Wilson, oboe; and guest pianist, Bonnie Budziak.

The Fine Arts Woodwind Quintet will join forces with Phyllis Speirs, mezzo soprano and guest pianist, Bonnie Budziak in Mozart’s “Voi che sapete” from The Marriage of Figaro. Speirs and Budziak will collaborate on the beautiful Rodgers and Hammerstein songs,“Climb Every Mountain/You’ll Never Walk Alone.” The woodwind quintet and Ms. Speirs will perform from Mahler’s Five Rueckert Songs, arranged for mezzo soprano and woodwind quintet by Zeke Hecker. The woodwind quintet will also present arrangements of Ravel’s Mother Goose Suite and Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf, narrated by Phyllis Speirs.

The concert is free and open to the public and is perfect for the entire family.  Desserts, provided by the performers will be served during intermission.
