The Fine Arts Association in cooperation with

Sign Stage on Tour is proud to present:

James and the Giant Peach

by Roald Dahl

Deaf Theatre Adaptation and Direction by William Morgan

Performed in American Sign Language and spoken English by deaf and hearing performers

James Trotter's life was great until a rhinoceros came and changed everything!  Suddenly he was an orphan sent to live with his mean Aunt Spiker and cruel Aunt Sponge. One day a mysterious man gives James a gift that creates a giant peach, changing his life again.  Join James and his giant insect friends on an amazing adventure inside the biggest peach the world has ever seen.  This is a tale of friendship, love, sadness and triumph.

Sign Stage on Tour is a specialist in Sign Language Theatre where deaf and hearing actors perform together on stage.  Whenever the character speaks, the character uses sign language, but you will always hear the voice too.  It's a magical blend of language created when performing a play simultaneously in spoken English and in the spatial beauty of American Sign Language.  Both deaf and hearing audiences experience every detail of the performance.
