Emily holds a bachelor’s degree in Music Theory and Composition from The University of Akron and post-baccalaureate certification in Music Therapy from Cleveland State University. She became board-certified in October 2016 after completing her internship at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. There she worked with many pediatric inpatients varying in age and diagnosis, including premature infants in the NICU, developmental support for infants and children hospitalized long-term, acute and intensive care units, pediatric oncology, adolescent acute psychiatric care, pediatric palliative care, and parental/sibling support. Emily also has experience working with populations of Autism Spectrum Disorder, developmental disabilities, behavior disorders, substance abuse, corrections, and early childhood enrichment and intervention. She is very excited to join an incredible team of music therapists and fine arts professionals at The Fine Arts Association.
