Judith Elias received her B.M.E. from Youngstown State University and her Graduate study from Kent State University. She studied extensively with Maurice Sharp and Raymond DeMattia. In addition to being a member of The Fine Arts Woodwind Quintet, Ms. Elias is also director of the Lakeland Civic Flute Choir, principal flutist with the Lakeland Civic Orchestra, as well as a frequent performer in area chamber music recitals and churches. She is listed in “Who’s Who in America‘s Teachers and Who’s Who in America.” Ms. Elias teaches students of ages seven to adult, beginning to advanced, and postgraduate levels. Her philosophy is to encourage the student to achieve their optimal potential through correct practice techniques while still enjoying music. Lessons may include preparation for adjudicated events, (contest,) and auditions for placement or college.
