Sanni Tenkku Kearns is delighted to be part of the Fine Arts tradition, providing a nurturing environment to enhance each individual’s development. As a dedicated piano and organ instructor with over 40 years of experience, Mrs. Kearns develops individual lessons for pupils, designed to enhance the power and beauty of music. She inspires her students with the “Composing for Pianists” and “100 Day Challenge for Aspiring Pianists” learning programs. She considers the inclusion of music theory, technique, and musicianship in each lesson as important to each student’s development.
Performance presentation and ensemble experience are available and encouraged. Mrs. Kearns’ students have consistently performed well, not only in Lake County but also in Northern Ohio contests and festivals. In both piano performance and composition, they have garnered awards and scholarships at the State and National level as well. Many students have continued on to conservatory and appear professionally.
Collaboration is a special passion of Mrs. Kearns. As an active ensemble collaborator, she enjoys providing accessible and relevant musical programs to the region. In addition to serving as piano and organ faculty at the Fine Arts Association, Mrs. Kearns is piano faculty at Lake Erie College, teaching and performing with creative musicians. Additionally, she continues a full private studio and serves area churches as organist and keyboardist.
