Teen & Adult Classes-Spring 2019

Acting 101 for Teens (ages 12-18)
If you want to take the stage and don't know where to start, this class is for YOU! Learn the basics of acting, auditioning and how to win a role through the audition process. You'll also learn techniques (and a monologue or two) that prepare you to take the stage for that next audition. Class culminates with a Sharing Day for family and friends on the last day of class.

Theatre Improv for Teens (ages 12-18)
Come discover the exciting world of theatre improvisation, where we make up the scenes as we go along and anything goes! This is a great introduction to the art of theatre. Students learn how to create instant scenes and stories that stretch the imagination and boost confidence on stage. The final class is an 'improv show' Sharing Day for family and friends.

Advanced Prep for Teens (ages 12-18)New students welcome by audition or teacher recommendation.
Especially designed for advanced theatre students, this in-depth study of acting techniques will challenge you. Students learn about the craft of theatre through vocal and movement exercises, character development and scene study. Professionalism and collaboration are stressed in this class designed for the serious actor. Consistent attendance is expected and all students are required to participate in the final Sharing Day for family and friends on the last day of class in the Corning Auditorium.

LIGHTS! CAMERA! ACTION! ‒An Introduction to Acting On-Camera for Teens & Adults (teens, ages 13-17 & adults, ages 18 & up) No previous experience required.
This beginning/intro class is geared to anyone interested in exploring On-Camera Acting Techniques. Learn how to do the basics and more. From slating your name to developing your own unique on-camera personality. We will use actual commercial and acting scripts, and video playback with instructor feedback to give students a full professional experience.
