Opal Curry received her Master of Music Degree in Performance from West Virginia University, studying with Cynthia Anderson, and her undergraduate degrees in Bachelor of Arts in Music and a Bachelor of Music in Performance from Kent State University, studying with Danna Sundet. Opal is currently the principal oboist of the Akron Symphonic Winds, a professional Wind Ensemble in Northeast Ohio.
