ALL THE ARTS ONE DAY CAMP
MLK DAY | MONDAY, JANUARY 15, 2024!

MLK Day Camp is on Monday, January 15, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. to  3:00 p.m. for ages 5-13. (Before Camp Care 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.)

Is school out? Bring the kids to Fine Arts to explore dance, music, visual arts, and theatre. All arts supplies are included in the camp fee. Campers should bring a packed lunch and a water bottle. FYI! Before Camp Care is INCLUDED in camp tuition! Drop off your camper anytime between 8:00-9:00 am. Before Camp Care includes supervised, quiet time activities (games, drawing, etc.) The camp day officially begins at 9:00 am. There are NEW activities with each All the Arts Camp, so register for BOTH!

Family Ties Homeschool Program

The Family Ties Homeschool Program provides enriching, hands-on art experiences designed specifically for homeschooled students ages 5-13.

  • Students are divided into two age groups: lower school (LS) and upper school (US).
  • Caring, experienced faculty guide students through hands-on experiences in visual arts, theatre, music and dance classes.
  • Students share what they have learned with family and friends when they gather for a celebration of the arts at the close of each session.
  • During this session, we will celebrate holiday musicals! The program’s curriculum is aligned with the Ohio Department of Education’s Academic Content Standards in Fine Arts. 

Dates:

  • From September 13, 2021, to December 13, 2021
  • Mondays from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Daily Schedule:

  • Daily Schedule: Students rotate through four 55-minute classes in visual arts, theatre, music and dance.
  • All students meet for lunch and outdoor time from Noon-1:00 p.m.
  • (Students should bring their own bag lunch.)
  • Sharing Day Performance is on Monday, December 13, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. in the Corning Auditorium.

Visual Art Workshops

Students will create their own tabletop light-up tree made from ceramic clay, colored bulbs and electric cord. All supplies provided. Makes an excellent gift.

Students will create their own ceramic pumpkin using Terra-Cotta (Orange Clay). Pumpkins can be used as a light-up Jack-o’-lantern or pumpkin jar. All supplies provided.

Social Group
for Caregivers of those with Alzheimer's Disease or Dementia

With Laurén Skillicorn AT, LPC

Four week session on Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. from April 24th to May 15th for adult caregivers of those with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia.  

Connect with individuals caring for loved ones with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias while tapping into self-care through the use of art making.  Projects include utilizing collage Materials and paint.

Songwriting
for ages 13+

With Becca Bankert, MT-BC

Four week session on Mondays: March 15, March 22, March 29, and April 12 from 7:30 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. for ages 13+.

Learn and practice basic elements of songwriting. Participants will engage in group songwriting, lyric analysis, and song sharing. Individuals will also have the opportunity to write your own song, with feedback and assistance from Miss Becca and classmates! All levels of experience are welcome!

Art Therapy for Relaxation
Ages 18+

With Sara Wasserman, MA, ATR, LPC

Four-week session on Tuesdays from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. from March 9th to March 30th for adults 18+. All abilities welcome!

Here is a chance for something exciting to come out of the time we are spending at home. This one hour class offers an opportunity to create simple or elaborate art expressions. Using a combination of guided visualization, templates, and prompts, you will render images that bring relaxation and a sense of calm and peace. No experience required. Simple art materials will be used including markers, crayons, and watercolors.

Mom and Me Social Group
for Children with Disabilities and their Caregiver

Three week session on Mondays from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. from March 15 to March 29, 2021 for children (birth to age 5) with disabilities and their caregiver.

Designed for young children of ALL abilities! Bounce, wiggle, sing and have fun with your munchkin. This class engages you and your child in singing, playing, instruments, and movement experiences while encouraging bonding, stimulating the senses, promoting learning and creating opportunities for socialization. Caregivers will have an opportunity to connect with other caregivers during each session.
